Winding Down

This past week was very busy for us! I had class on Monday and Tuesday (again!), Michael did on Wednesday, our house had a showing on Thursday and then the Military Ball last night!

Class is going well, same old stuff. I have to say that I love this Master's program. I find everything about it fascinating. I have always like psychology, and counseling is fairly close to it. If I ever do leave my classroom, I would try to find a counseling job in a school. I have one more week of class for this block, then two weeks of rest before my family counseling class starts! Very excited for that one. On my 'break' I need to finalize the syllabus for the class I am teaching at the college in the fall. I received a rough outline last week, and apparently they think I know what I am doing, because they provided no directions! I have to find out what Psych of Learning is, and apparently what I need to cover on my own (Planning a 4th grade curriculum and a Masters level course is completely different!)

On Wednesday, Michael e-mailed me from work and said I wasn't going to be happy - Our house was going to be shown the following day. Since he 'conveniently' had class Wednesday night, I was in charge of all the cleaning! So after trying to get registered for an online class I have to train in, bowling with some co-workers, I was left to complete 3 hours of housework. Oh the joy! I do have to say, nothing is more satisfying then a well cleaned house though!

Friday after work, Michael and I headed to the middle school baseball game where he volunteers, then out to run some errands. Michael is playing on a softball team for the Guard this year and had to get the necessary outfit. I felt like a Little League mom has he tried on his pants and cleats! He will be the most handsome one out there!

Yesterday was spent getting ready for the Military Ball! I had a hair appointment early (which prevented me from taking a much needed nap later), then we voted in our city's election, and then got all dolled up for the big event. I love seeing everyone in their dress uniform, and some of the outfits women pick to wear are quite amusing! I will get around to posting pictures soon...including a picture of me and the Vice President's son. Yes, we're friends. Be jealous. (I like to think that we are friends, really he knows my husband because they were deployed together, but it's my blog!)

Today, Michael is gearing up for his game today while I plan on trying to get a huge chunk of my syllabus done (hopefully!) I feel like I have been running around all week! Luckily, besides the last week of class, we don't have any major plans!

One a side not : This time in 2 months, you will find me cruising toward the Caribbean!! I can't wait!
