Tackling the Taxes!

Before Michael left, he said not to worry about the taxes, he would be granted an extension because he was out of the country and he would do them when he came back. Well, as tax season is upon us, and I am a Type A personality, I started to worry:
  1. He was never granted an extension - he would have been but he didn't ask for it.
  2. Does his extension include me? I am still in the U.S. and we file separate (but married)
  3. Will I be arrested?
  4. Why can't I just do them?
  5. I seem to worry often
Then I figured, instead of worrying about the IRS coming after me, why couldn't I do them? I have accomplished a lot of other things around the house, I'm sure I can do this. I had already filed away all of the W2's I got in the mail, so I am sure I just have to punch some numbers into Turbo Tax.

Thank God for parents! My Pop has been doing his taxes LONG HAND (no Turbo Tax for this man), forever, and said that he would help me. He is even doing ours on the written forms to save us money on Turbo Tax! This weekend I will learn how to do taxes. God help me! At least it's one less thing for Michael to worry about. I will definitely update you on this adventure later this week.

You know you could always call Eric Murphy do help you with your taxes. Drew is coming down this weekend so it should be fun.

This week has gone by fast for me and hopefully for you as well. It's 3:00 at the office which in University time is really 5:00 so I started my workout at 2:00.

The taxes will be easy. I did them one time and miscalculated, which was partially my mom's fault and I thought I had to pay like $1000. I freaked out till Courtney's dad was like what are you doing. So as long as you have someone look over them you'll be fine.
